Awards
  The Rossini Lectureship Award
This highly esteemed award, which is made by the IACT, is given in recognition of a significant contribution to the field of thermodynamics. It is presented every two years at the Biennial IUPAC Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics (ICCT), when the recipient delivers the Rossini Lecture.

The winner of the 2010 Rossini Lectureship Award is Prof. Gerd Maurer of the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Nominations for the 2012 Rossini Lecturer are invited from any member of the thermodynamics community. These should be sent without any supporting material to the IACT Secretary at dunmorecot@tiscali.co.uk with a copy to the IACT Chairman at agoodwin@sugar-land.oilfield.slb.com to reach them by March 15th 2010. Nominees should not be advised that their names have been put forward. When a decision has been made the successful candidate will be informed.

A Nominations Committee of IACT Board Members will draw up a short list and the final selection will be made at the Board meeting in Tsukuba in August 2010.

      IACT Junior Awards  

These awards, which are sponsored by Elsevier, are made every two years for excellence in thermodynamics. The winners receive a certificate. In addition, the Conference registration fee will be waived, and assistance given towards travel and subsistence so that the Award winners can present their papers at the ICCT.
